"The Croods" Home Entertainment Social Campaign

Working for The Cimarron Group, one project involved The Croods home release on DVD/BluRay/digital.
 
While the campaign was handled by an entire team for conceptualization, creating timetables, coordinating with the client, etc. it was the Art Director and myself who created all assets for the project.
Originally conceptualized as an advertising push spanning all social media, it was important to create a style that was consistent, while allowing for the different formatting concerns of each particular site.
For example, when designing a twitter account background, having an eyecatching image 'above the fold' was just as important as discovering a wat to transition to a background that would look seemless on an 'infinite' screen scroll.
Other assets were self contained though, however requiring adherance to dinmensional standards that would not break a site's layout or appear cropped if forced to a format by the site.
While the campaign itself aimed to reach many social sites online, it was important to juggle the challenges of a cohesive aesthetic with the specific needs of each site. It was a great exercise in these disciplines, usually seen as disparate from one another. The challenge was what made it fun though!
